We CLOSED!

As of Wednesday, August 10th at 3:30 PM Eastern Standard Time... The Man and I are officially Home Owners!

This was the most stressful, most time consuming, and (hopefully) most rewarding thing that we have been through thus far in our 6 years together. We originally were going to do an FHA loan, because it seemed like the best move for us. Then the condo association let their FHA approval, so it was either lose the place we had already fallen in love with or switch to a convential mortgage. We chose the latter. After having our close date pushed back from July 15th to a "tentative" August 10th, we finally have the keys. (Sidenote, we have to be out of our current apartment by August 14th, so I don't think we could have cut it any closer on time than we did.)

 Now comes the moving in and decorating :)

With all the excitement of closing on the condo and getting the keys, my "getting back on the budget banwagon" mindset washed away with the bottle of champagne on Wednesday!

More to come. I'm too excited about moving into our new home to even concentrate on work today!!
